Ashley Boal is a Research Director for the Justice and Prevention Research Center at WestEd. She brings more than 15 years of experience conducting research and evaluation studies across a diverse range of content areas including education, criminal justice, and mental and physical health. Recent areas of emphasis include community schools, school climate, and school safety. Dr. Boal is well-versed in the integration of quantitative and qualitative methodologies and has experience designing and executing complex mixed-methods projects. She is certified in What Works Clearinghouse Version 5.0 standards and has carried out both descriptive and rigorous studies.
Dr. Boal received her BA in Psychology from the University of California at Irvine and her MS and PhD in Applied Psychology from Portland State University.
